Microsoft Consoles, Games and Accessories

Although Microsoft has been involved with gaming in some way for decades (older gamers may remember playing Minesweeper on Windows 3.1, for example – and did someone mention Age of Empires?), the company didn’t become involved with console gaming until the launch of the Xbox in 2002.

Since then they’ve built the Xbox brand up to be recognised by gamers as one of the ‘Big 3’ alongside Nintendo and Sony, with the Xbox 360 console releasing in 2005 and their latest system, the Xbox One, launching in 2013.
