PlayStation 4 Consoles, Games and Accessories

The most recent of the PlayStation consoles, the PlayStation 4 was released in 2013. The PS4 allows gamers to stream gameplay videos and share screenshots with each other, as well as play Blu-Rays and DVDs (although it can’t play music CDs). The PS4 also has the ability to connect to PlayStation Network (PSN) so gamers can purchase and download new software, as well as videos and apps from the PlayStation Store. The PS4 controller is very similar to that used for the PS3, with a number of additions – the controller now has a headphone jack, and the Start & Select buttons have been removed in favour of a combined Options button. It also has a dedicated button for sharing videos or screenshots from games, and a touchpad.

Although it’s only been out for two years, the PS4 has sold over 22 million, compared to the Wii U and the Xbox One each selling over 10 million units. Can it hold its lead? Only time will tell.
