Wii U Consoles, Games and Accessories

Released in 2012, the Wii U had a slow start after the success of its predecessor (the Wii), due to a software drought at launch and lower technical specifications than its competitors (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One). There are plenty of fantastic games for it now, though, with best-sellers Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros., and other notable titles including Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Hyrule Warriors and Splatoon (with more coming soon!).

The Wii U’s GamePad features a touchscreen similar to the DS family of handhelds, as well as an NFC reader, which is compatible with Nintendo’s line of amiibo figures. Players can also purchase and download games from the Nintendo eShop (note: we also sell eShop credit!) including the latest Wii U titles, indie favourites and classic titles from the Virtual Console range such as NES, SNES, N64 and GBA games.

Wii U disc-based games are not compatible with the Wii console, but Wii games will run on the Wii U. Be sure to check the case carefully (or ask us for help) before you make a purchase!
